Alliance Française presents "Portrait of Ludmilla as Nina Simone." Acclaimed French actress and singer Ludmilla Dabo, accompanied by director and playwright David Lescot on guitar gives an intimate one-women musical portrait of the iconic ‘High Priestess of Soul.” Dabo takes us on Nina Simone’s journey from young musical prodigy to her role as a major figure in the civil rights movement.

Iskin’s lecture, drawn from her new book Mary Cassatt between Paris and New York, will shed important new light on the relationship between Cassatt, the American-born artist who became a central figure among the Impressionists, and Edgar Degas, one of the group’s leaders. 

Produced on the occasion of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the exhibition "Olympism and Francophonie" explores the links between sport and the French language. 

The documentary portrays the journey of two judeo-moroccan musicians, Neta Elkayam and Amit Haï Cohen, to Morocco. From one musical encounter to another, this journey will reshape their perception of who they are and who they want to become and help them create new connections with their ancestors’ homeland. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with movie director Kamal Hachkar.
